Floyd’s a man who likes to keep it green. That last comic where I was eating a sandwich? He made it a point to tell me it was made with organic, locally grown lettuce. While I can’t match his zeal, I have to say I respect it. Even if the above does point out some *ahem* inconsistencies.
I don’t want to get too political, but sometimes I wonder about how little we seem to care about the environment. Except I have the kind of brain that extrapolates things to an extreme degree, so I wonder about when the bottom is going to fall out. When will environmentalism become a matter of survival? When will we be worried about more than polar bears? When will we be forced to traverse the roads of a gritty, dystopian wasteland, where water is precious and hard to find, and I gather together a band of my friends, and we champion honor and decency in a land where there is none, and we wander in search of artifacts of a time of virtue and righteousness?
See. Got carried away.
I want us to realize we have some things we need to watch out for, and all cut back a little bit. Live within our means. All I ask is for us as a species to be a little more farsighted.
And for that computer to stop calling me Dave and telling me it’s sorry.
