This week, we’re running a special series of comics in celebration of our PAX weekend. Let me tell you, it was the most fun I’ve had in a weekend in quite some time. We’ll be sharing our thoughts and stories all week long. That means a comic e’erday Tuesday through Friday! Twice the weekly dose of U20 you’ve come to love. Don’t worry, we’ve checked with your doctors and they say it’s actually pretty good for you.
Though there were a few imagined cases of mistaken identity on the convention floor, all joking aside PAX was filled with some of the nicest strangers I’ve ever encountered. Something about that atmosphere, everyone being there to have fun with the games they’re passionate about, makes for this delightful sense of camaraderie. You know at any point you can turn to the dude next to you and crack a joke about the trends in DLC. You can ask everyone in the tabletop area what games they play and get some solid recommendations. Even the folks running the various booths and vendors seemed to be in a jolly mood. It was like nerd Christmas or something. That special melange of geek enthusiasm alone would bring me back next year.
Well, that and finding Bill again. C’mon, look at that beard. We’re on to you Bill.
