She didn’t understand. In fact she had many questions. What brand of toilet paper is in there? Where did the iron filings analogy come from? Who are the Browns? Does Floyd like football?

It’s a delicate balance to arrange the Venn diagram of sharing amongst the people in your life. Naturally, there are many people in your life who are special, with whom you’d like an unwavering trust. But sharing isn’t always a trust thing. Sometimes it’s a matter of who’s going to “get it.” Sometimes you need to run something by one of your trusted sources to make sure you have it worked out well enough for another trusted person to understand. Often, it’s about people not wanting to know about that time, after dinner at the Vietnamese restaurant, when I had to run home because… well, you get the idea.

I am on vacation. It is absolutely magical. I still have some stuff in the needs-to-get-done pile (like a place to live for the next three months [long story]) but there’s a break from the urgency of student life. During a semester there is no time where you don’t feel as though you should be studying something. Surely, there must be some work that needs homeworking. Always. Now that my time is spent based on my own budget, the things that need to be done don’t seem as constant. And they can be interspersed with sitting on my couch in my boxers at noon playing Skyrim.

Did I just overshare in the post for a comic about oversharing?

I did, didn’t I.
